Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 26, 2026

This policy explains what information Ballr ("we," "us") collects when you visit ballr.com, why we collect it, who receives it, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, addresses, or payment details. Information is collected automatically as you browse:

If you email us at hello@ballr.com, we receive whatever you include in that message and keep it only as long as needed to respond.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies fall into three groups on this site. Only the first is set automatically.

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to load and stay secure, and to remember your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.

Analytics

Set by Google Analytics to distinguish one visitor from another across visits. Off until you allow them.

Advertising

Set by Google AdSense and its advertising partners to deliver and measure ads, including personalized ads based on your browsing across sites over time. Off until you allow them. If you decline, we may still show ads, but they will be non-personalized — selected from general context such as the page content and your coarse location rather than a profile of your interests. Non-personalized ads still use a limited identifier for frequency capping, fraud prevention, and aggregate reporting.

When advertising is enabled, third parties other than Google may also set cookies through the ad slots. We do not control those cookies. Google maintains a list of its certified advertising partners at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Changing your choice

When you first arrive, analytics and advertising are switched off by default and the banner asks for your choice, which we store in your browser's local storage. You can change it at any time with the link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing your browser's site data for ballr.com.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out of advertising and of the sharing of personal information, and advertising cookies stay off regardless of the banner.

How we use the information

To measure traffic, improve the site, and to fund it through advertising. We do not use it to make automated decisions about you and we do not build our own profiles about you.

Who we share it with

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the site against abuse. We do not sell personal information for money.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw consent, object to processing, or appeal a decision we make about your request. Email hello@ballr.com and we will respond within the time frame required by applicable law.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and similar states

Serving personalized advertising involves disclosing identifiers and browsing activity to advertising partners, which counts as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA and as "targeted advertising" under other state privacy laws. You can opt out at any time using the link, or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser. We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not knowingly share the personal information of anyone under 16. You will not be treated differently for exercising any privacy right.

EU and UK visitors

Our legal basis for analytics and advertising cookies is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Server logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure site. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Data retention

Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in our Analytics property. Advertising identifiers are retained by Google and its partners under their own schedules, which we do not control. Server logs follow Vercel's standard schedule. Emails are kept only as long as needed for the conversation.

International transfers

Our providers are based in the United States and may process your information there. Where required, transfers out of the EEA or UK rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them or show them personalized advertising. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site grows. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
